Connecting a Twitch channel requires accepting the fanping Twitch integration terms first (the same step every creator sees):
Send a ping
Send an announcement so the extension’s activity block appears on your channel. One is enough. The block lists the kind of announcement and how long ago it was, never the message text.
How to test the extension
- Accept the fanping Twitch integration terms above, then Connect your Twitch channel. You sign in on Twitch and grant fanping read access to your channel.
- Install the fanping extension on that same channel and activate it (panel, component, or overlay).
- Open the extension’s configuration page for your channel from the Twitch creator dashboard.
- Expect the connected broadcaster view: the config reports your channel as connected to fanping and shows no signup call to action.
- Disconnect above to see the unconnected state, then connect again to return to the connected view.
- The extension configuration has its own unlink (Setup tab, two-click confirm). After using it, come back here: the status above then reads “not linked” and Link extension to this channel restores the connected view.
- Use Send a ping below to post an announcement. The activity block then appears on your channel and shows the kind and how long ago, never the text. “Delivered to 0 fans” is expected on this account and does not affect the block.
One thing to skip: the “Connect creator account” button inside the extension. It leads to the fanping creator dashboard, which is where ordinary streamers sign up. This review account does not use it, and everything it would do is on this page instead.
